In this account of a unique village in Hunan province,you might be surprised to learn that it is the source of the Chinese story called,"Half a Quilt."Where Hunan borders Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces,among Nanling Mountains'ridges and peaks,is a picturesque Yao stockade village(population 516people).With its high-yield agricultural fields,and its ethnic harmony between Yao people and Han,Shazhou village in Rucheng county,Hunan province,has earned the status of model unit for ethnic unity and progress in China and has been promoted as a tourism destination site within China.
