英语矛盾辞格的认知情境植入研究

Study on Cognitive Grounding of English Oxymoron Rhetorical Device

运用认知语言学的情境植入理论,采用例证和内省的研究方法,对短语结构和小句结构的英语矛盾辞格中的植入成分和情境植入过程进行研究,发现前人多从哲学、修辞、功能等入手分析英语矛盾辞格的理解过程和表达效果。引介情境植入理论后,结合分析实例研究英语矛盾辞格,发现其语法成分之间的关系和语义形成背后的认知情境植入过程,短语结构和小句结构英语矛盾情境植入大多为显性的情境植入。

The grounding element and cognitive grounding process of English oxymoron rhetorical device are studied with the grounding theory in cognitive linguistics and applying research methods of exemplification and introspection.Oxymoron is a commonly used figure of speech in English.Many predecessors analyzed the understanding process and expression effect from the perspectives of philosophy,rhetoric,function and so on.After introducing the grounding theory,it manifests that most of the phrase structure and clause structure in English oxymoron grounding is mostly explicit grounding through a set of highly grammatical elements,and then verifies the explanatory strength of grounding theory on the internal grammatical relations of English structures.
