党的十九大报告指出,中国特色社会主义进入了新时代。人民对美好生活的向往,就是新时代中国共产党人的奋斗目标。新时代美好生活具有"五位一体"的丰富内涵,丰裕的社会物质条件是美好生活的物质基础,民主权利的有效保障是美好生活的政治保证,丰富多彩的精神文化是美好生活的核心要素,和谐有序的社会氛围是美好生活的必要前提,优美的生态环境是美好生活的内在要求。要实现新时代美好生活,就必须以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指引,坚定不移走中国特色社会主义道路,始终不渝加强党的领导,解决好发展不平衡不充分的矛盾。

General Secretary Xi Jinping announced at the 19th Party Congress that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era. The people’s yearning for a better life is the goal of the Communists of China in the new era. A good life in the new era has rich connotations. Abundant social and material conditions are the material basis of a good life,and effective guarantee of democratic rights is the political guarantee of a good life;rich and colorful spiritual culture is the core element of a good life;harmonious and orderly social environment is the necessary prerequisite of a good life;beautiful ecological environment is the inherent requirement of a good life. To achieve the goal to live a better life in the new era,we must take Xi Jinping’s socialist thought with Chinese characteristics in the new era as the guide,unswervingly follow the socialist road with Chinese characteristics,firmly strengthen the leadership of the Party,and solve the contradiction of insufficient and imbalanced development.
