The Qin spectrum of the withered wood dhyana is one of the "Guangling Five Spectrum", which was compiled by Qin monk Shi Kongchen. Part of the Qin theory inherited the "Wuzhi Zhai Qin Spectrum" as well as some music characteristics of Guangling Schoo. The title "Withered Wood Dhyana" was derived from chan sect. It contains the meaning of dry wood in spring and vacuum. It is also a figurative depiction of the virtue of Qin. It creatively inherits the theory of "using the Qin" and emphasizes music of Qin. It explains the origin theory that the music of Qin is a combination of the spirit of the strings, the wonderful fingers and the subject, and also explains various techniques, characteristics and the style of the Qin. The purpose is to explain the important role of tangible sound in the process of "heart" perceiving music.
