To study the effect of compound plant extracts added to sows’diets on their reproduction performance.Forty sows were randomly divided into control group and plant extract group(1000 mg/kg).Each pig was a repeat. The experimental period was from 85th day of gestation to parturition. The effects of plant extracts on reproductive performance of sows were studied. The results showed that the birth weight of piglets in the plant extract group was 7.6%higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),the proportion of piglets with high birth weight was significantly increased(P<0.01),and the proportion of piglets with low birth weight was significantly decreased(P<0.05).Compound plant extract could improve piglets’birth weight, piglets’evenness and sows’reproduction performance.
