Safety Assessment of Waterworks Sludge for Recycling in Environment Remediation

作为自来水厂无法避免产生的副产物,给水厂污泥回用于环境修复已成为研究热点,亟需评价其环境安全性。本文通过大型蚤急性和慢性毒性实验,调查了给水厂污泥对大型蚤的生长、繁殖和抗氧化酶活性的影响,结果发现给水厂污泥对大型蚤没有产生毒性效应。本研究对于推进给水厂污泥资源化应用具有现实意义,促进"以废治废"。

Waterworks sludge,an inevitable byproduct generated during potable water production,recycled for environment remediation has been research focus,and it is in urgent need of assessment the safety.In this study,the effect of waterworks sludge on growth,reproduction and antioxidant enzyme activities of Daphnia was investigated using the toxicity bioassay.The results showed that no toxicity was induced by waterworks sludge.This study is of practical significance for promoting the application of sludge recycling.
