The article analyzes"Dao Toulai"from two dimensions:synchronic and diachronic.The synchronic dimension"Dao Toulai"has counter-expectation information,highlighting the semantic features of the result,as a time adverb can be placed in the beginning and the middle of the sentence,and expressing negative meaning.The diachronic level"Dao Toulai"is to further lexicalize into an adverb after the transition from the verb phrase to the prepositional phrase.The motivation for lexicalization in"Dao Toulai"is the ambiguity of semantics and the change in syntactic position.
