Name and Shape Evolution of Ancient Ruan Instrument

中国古代阮自汉代有文献记载起直至清末,形制不断的演变,每个历史时期,都呈现不同的形态特征。古代阮由于历经时间跨度较大,且同类乐器众多,相互影响,历史文献中的名称也时有混淆,因此,研究阮形态特征的变化,首先明晰各个历史时期阮的名称,文章通过古代阮乐器名称的变化,侧面分析各历史时期阮形制的变化与发展。根据对文献中阮名称的辨析,对阮的发展情况划分为三个阶段,即探索发展期、成熟期、衍变期,并总结阮乐器不同发展阶段形制的演变。

Ancient Chinese Ruan has been documented from the Han Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty,and it has different morphological characteristics in each historical period.Ruan has a long history,and many similar musical instruments have influenced each other,furthermore,the names in historical documents of them have been sometimes confusing,therefore,it is important to clarify the names of Ruan in each historical period before studying the changes of Ruan’s morphological characteristics.Based on the names of the ancient Ruan in the documents,the article analyzes the change and development of Ruan’s morphological characteristics and divided it into three stages,namely,exploration,development,maturity,and evolution.
