As a professional jurist, the topic of law in Franz Kafka’s works is worth to be discussed. Before the Law provides us an entrance to the law in Kafka’s works. In this parable, the man from the country deceived himself. He didn’t realize that the door of law opened solely for him and had nothing to do with the others. Protagonists of The Trial and The Castle were also in the mist of self-deceiving. Only by rushing in with their own strength, have they an opportunity to enter the door of law. The law in Kafka’s works can be interpreted as Jewish law, thus his works show us the dilemma of modern Jews when they approach the Jewish law.
