康有为中外比较仿洋改制的另一代表作——《光绪二十三年列国政要比较表》新探

Kang Youwei’s Another Representative Work of the Comparison Between China and Foreign Countries as well as the Reformation by Imitating Foreign Countries ——A New Probe into the Comparison chart of the Political Leaders of the Foreign Countries in 1897

在1898年戊戌维新期间,康有为向光绪皇帝进呈了一部《光绪二十三年列国政要比较表》。这部运用中外比较手法鼓吹仿洋改制的代表作,至今尚未引起学术界的充分重视和深入研究。通过对该书的资料来源、成书过程及进呈时间等进行梳理考证,并对康有为撰写的序言及各表按语的文本进行解读分析,可以进一步说明康有为是如何运用中外比较作为其鼓吹救亡图存、仿洋改制、变法维新的锐利武器和理论根据的。

During the Wu Hsu Reform, Kang Youwei often promoted the Guangxu emperor and Chinese people to reform by imitating foreign countries, by means of comparing China with foreign countries. The previous researches usually discussed it with several books of political changes of foreign countries. However, Kang’s another representative work of the comparison between China and foreign countries-the Comparison Chart of the Political Leaders of the Foreign Countries in 1897-has not aroused enough attention and deep research yet. This paper tries to analyze its compiling sources, writing process, and presenting time as well as its texts of the preface and the notes of each chart, so as to explain how Kang took the comparison between China and foreign countries as weapons and theoretical basis to promote his politics of national salvation and reformation, especially by imitating foreign countries.
