The United States is one of the most advanced countries in potato production in the world.On the basis of field investigation and pertinent literature studying,a general situation of seed potato production,seed potato quality testing and certification methods were comprehensively introduced.The certification procedures,including seed potato classification,field testing,post-harvest detection standards,detection parameters,and disease allowable rate in the United States were elaborated.Their experience of seed potato production and certification in the United States can provide reference to the development of seed potato production and certification in China.
