摘要
古代文献中的"苗民""三苗"等不能简单地看作苗族的祖先,苗族民间口碑中名字与"蚩尤"相近的人物也不能简单地认为是蚩尤,苗族的一些貌似与蚩尤相关的民俗未必与蚩尤有联系。一些学者提出的"苗族是蚩尤部落后裔"的观点论据不充分。战败后的蚩尤部落并没有迁徙到西南地区成为今天苗族的祖先,而很可能是一部分被黄帝部落就近安置;另一部分被迁置到北方,这两部分人的后裔最后都融入了汉民族大家庭。
The "Miao people" and "San Miao" in ancient documents cannot be simply regarded as the ancestor of the Miao nationality. In the folk word-of-mouth of the Miao nationality, the character whose name is similar to Chi You can’t be simply regarded as Chi You. Some folk customs of the Miao that seem to be related to Chi You are not necessarily related to Chi You. The grounds of the argument that Miao nationality are descendants of Chi You tribe put forward by some scholars are insufficient. We believe that after the defeat Chi You tribe did not migrate to the southwest and become the ancestors of today’s the Miao nationality. It is most likely that one part of the Yellow emperor tribe was resettled nearby, and the other group was relocated to the north, and the descendants of both groups were eventually integrated into the Han nationality.
