■簋“■”字及相关诸字新释

A New Interpretation of the ■in Dong Gui（■ 簋） and the Relevant Characters

■簋铭中有一个旧释为“启”的字,应改释为“监”,所在辞例应读为“强敏监行”,本文引证文献资料对铭意做了解说。清华简八《摄命》篇中与此字形类似者亦应释为“监”,读为“谏”,简文应读作“明谏劼毖”。

This paper offers a new interpretation of one character which was misinterpreted as qi(启),arguing it should be understood as jian(监)and the original text which includes the character should be read as qiang min jian xing(强敏监行).An textual explanation for the inscription is also made based on the related documents.Another character in Volume Eight,Tsing Bamboo Slips,Sheming(《摄命》)which is similar to the character should be explained as jian(监),read as jian(谏)and the bambooslip script should be interpreted as ming jian jie bi(明谏劼毖).
