西瓜新品种苏创3号的选育

A New Watermelon F1 Hybrid——’Suchuang No.3’

苏创3号是以G21为母本、W13为父本配制而成的早熟优质西瓜一代杂种,植株生长势较强,全生育期109 d(天)左右,果实发育期33 d(天)。易坐果,果实圆形,果皮绿色,覆深绿色细齿条带;瓜瓤红色,瓤质酥脆,纤维少,中心糖含量11.9%,边糖8.8%;果皮厚约0.95 cm,单瓜质量4.3 kg,每667 m^2产量2850 kg左右。适宜江苏生态相近地区保护地栽培。

‘Suchuang No.3’is a F1 hybrid watermelon cultivar of early maturity and high quality.It has strong growth potential.Its whole growth period is about 109 days and fruit development period is 33 days.It is easy to set fruit.The fruit is of round shape with green pericarp and dark green strips in surface.The flesh is red in color and tastes crisp with less fiber.The central soluble solids content is 11.9%,and edge content is 8.8%.The pericarp thickness is 0.95 cm.The average single fruit weight is around 4.3 kg.It can yield about 42.75 t·hm^-2.
