Relations between China and ASEAN against the Background of the “Unprecedented Changes in a Century”

"百年未有之大变局"揭示了当今全球秩序的结构性变迁和国际关系之间变量的复杂性,在此背景之下的东盟与东盟国家在政治上存在一定的断裂,并非是一个具有强烈整体意识的共同体。随着美、日、印等国家对东盟的介入,东盟在经贸、文化及南海问题上与中国构成了多元的问题域。在东盟2019年6月推出"东盟印太展望"之后,为了友好构建中国-东盟关系、摆脱外部国际格局的冲击与掣肘,中国应该继续推进与东盟国家的战略对接,同时对底层政治空间释放影响,塑造中国在东盟国家良好的文化观念和政治形象。

"Unprecedented changes in a century"reveals the structural changes of today’s global order and the complexity of the variables in international relations. Against this background,ASEAN and ASEAN countries have a certain political break,because they are not a community with a strong overall consciousness. With the involvement of the United States,Japan,India and other countries in ASEAN,ASEAN has formed a diversified problem domain in the relationship with China on the issues of economy,trade,culture and the South China Sea. After ASEAN launched the"ASEAN Indo-Vision"in hope of building good Sino-ASEAN relations and get rid of the constraints of the external control,China should continue to promote its strategic cooperation with ASEAN,exert influence on the grassroots political space and build a good cultural and political image in ASEAN countries.
