丁瑜先生是继顾廷龙、赵万里、冀淑英等先生之后,新中国第二代古籍版本学家中的杰出代表人物之一。其主要成就有:一是所著《中国古籍装订修补技术》之首创意义;二是在全程参与编辑《中国古籍善本书目》实践中,凝练总结出的古籍编目著录方法;三是在掌眼入藏大量珍籍善本过程中,形成的版本鉴定方法、经验与案例。本文旨在揭橥丁瑜先生个人的版本鉴定与古籍编目经验,同时彰显其对古籍修复事业发展的深远影响。

Mr. Ding Yu is one of the excellent representatives of the New China’s second-generation expert in Textual Bibliography after Mr. Gu Tinglong, Mr. Zhao Wanli and Mr. Ji Shuying and so forth. One focus of the interview is the initiating value of the Repair and Binding of Chinese Ancient Books. The second is to summarize different cataloging methods of ancient books while compiling Bibliography of Chinese Ancient Rare Books. What really counts is how Mr. Ding Yu form his individualistic approach, experience and documentation during the period of collecting a large number of ancient books. Not only does the article aim to demonstrate Mr. Ding Yu’s rich experience in identifying and compiling Chinese ancient books, but it also has a profound influence on the repair of them.
