A Preliminary Study on Nalan Xingde’s Poetic Thoughts

纳兰性德作为清代著名词人,不仅在诗词创作方面有很高的造诣,同时提出了许多具有真知灼见的文艺观点,为清代的诗论、词论做出了独有的贡献。他主张诗词创作应该有自家面目,不能因循抄袭;看到了文学的本质在于抒情;对于诗词的滋味、比兴手法等均提出了自己的理论。同时纳兰还非常注重汉乐府传统。他的这些文学观不仅对于他的创作起到了很好的指导作用,使他在诗词创作上达到臻境,而且影响了整个清代乃至后世的文艺思想。

As a famous poet in Qing Dynasty,Nalan Xingde had a high achievement in the creation of poetry.Meanwhile,he put forward many literary views with profound insights,and made unique contributions to the theory of poetry in Qing Dynasty.He argued that poet should have his own character and cannot copy others.He claimed that the essence of literature is the expression of emotion.He had also put forward his own theory on the tastes and techniques of poetry.At the same time,Nalan Xingde also paid great attention to the tradition of Han Yuefu poems.These literary views not only played a good guiding role in Nalan’s literary creation,which made him achieve a great achievement in the creation of poetry,but also influenced the literary thoughts in the whole Qing Dynasty and later generations.
