SVOD platform has developed rapidly in the United States in recent years, with the emergence of giants such as Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. The rapid development of these internet-based video subscription platforms is based on big data and algorithm. SVOD platform collects the digital traces of the audience on the Internet as much as possible, and constantly improves its recommendation system to send feeds to the audience more accurately. In addition, Netflix and Amazon are also making original series based on big data and algorithm. But at the same time, big data and algorithm also bring a series of ethical issues. The monitoring of audience data has brought the invasion of privacy, negotiation of user rights and the lack of aesthetic value.
