The electronic ignition system is an important part of the engine electronic control system. Its working perfor-mance directly affects the performance of the vehicle. This paper takes Volkswagen POLO as an example, proceeds from the composition and working principle of the automobile ignition system, combines with its control circuit diagram, makes a thorough analysis of the causes of the failure, and then according to the fault diagnosis. The process eliminates the fault of abnormal ignition of vehicles.
