Under the background of the new era, application-oriented universities should adhere to the student-oriented principle, starting from the reality situation of practical talents cultivation, connecting the moral education narration content with the demands of students’ development, using vivid, reasoning and inspiring narrative language, utilizing various narrative carriers to form a synergistic effect, so as to maximize the advantages of moral education narration. The narrative teaching, which is connected with the needs of students, combined with local economic and cultural development and in line with the development of the times, runs through moral education activities, enhances the charm of narrative teaching in moral education, and improves the effectiveness of moral education in application-oriented universities.
