摘要
以Lakoff&Johnson对概念隐喻的分析为理论基础,探讨概念隐喻的工作机制、经验基础及其五大特性,结合其特性探讨其视阈下的大学英语词汇教学中培养学生的隐喻能力的重要性。通过实证教学研究、数据分析及问卷调查,从词汇记忆、隐喻理解、隐喻产出三方面研判概念隐喻教学对大学英语词汇教学的影响以及对实验班和对照班高分组和低分组的对比影响。
Based on the theory of conceptual metaphor brought up by Lakoff&Johnson,the present paper discusses the working mechanism,empirical basis and five major features of conceptual metaphor and its application to college English vocabulary teaching.It is vital that conceptual competence of students be cultivated.Based on a case study and a questionnaire,along with a data collection and an analysis by the statistic software SPSS,the paper also focuses on the conceptual metaphor teaching effect on college English vocabulary in terms of vocabulary memorization,metaphor interpretation and metaphor production,and compares the different teaching effects on experimental and controlled classes,and on the high score group and low score group respectively.
