The concept of remote intelligent operation and maintenance is defined. The core elements of remote intelligent operation and maintenance system are "a platform,an expert system,a standardization system" and the core connotation of "remote,intelligent and sharing".The composition and function of three core elements are elaborated respectively.It is pointed out that a platform is a carrier,an expert system is the soul and a standardization system is the foundation.It also describes the meaning of remote,intelligent and sharing,which has a good reference for the upgrading and development of the technical elements of remote intelligent operation and maintenance.
