Arguments on the Title of Tianfei in the Ming Dynasty

明代天妃的封号在永乐年间由朝廷正式封予,但是在士大夫和读书人阶层里,还是存在着不同的认识。本文对明代士人、读书人中对于"天妃"的封号进行了简单梳理,认为明人对"天妃"的理解有广义和狭义两种理解。通过两种不同的解释和辨析,可以加深对于明代儒学和祀典信仰以及民间信仰之间相互磨合过程的理解。

The title of Tianfei in the Ming Dynasty was officially conferred by the court during the Yongle period,but there are still different cognitions among the official and scholar classes.This paper simply sorts out the title of "Tianfei" among the official and scholars,and indicates that the people in the Ming dynasty understand "Tianfei" in two senses:broad and narrow.With two different interpretations and analyses,it deepens the understanding of the mutual fushion process between Confucianism,ritual beliefs and folk beliefs in Ming Dynasty.
