The oil seller’s story appeared in both the novel The Oil Seller Picked the Flower Alone and the drama Picking the Flower Alone.Though they developed around the story that the oil seller QIN Zhong picked the flower alone,the story diverged in its evolution due to the different environment in which FENG Menglong and LI Yu were.The development from FENG’s emotion expression to LI’s political description is specifically shown in the writers’arrangement of the characters’images and plot.This is closely related with the time background and the writers’creation intention,which are mainly manifested in the change of their creation inclination from ode to true love to the political expression.
