抗战时期的汉中是大西北与大西南之间的战略要地,是陪都重庆与西京长安之间的战略节点和军事重镇,国民政府非常重视汉中的战略地位。随着华北与东部地区的金融机构、工商企业、高等学府和机关团队、科研院所、服务机构等的迁入,特别是西北联合大学的汉中办学,点亮了秦巴山地的现代文明之光,汉中开始跨入近现代化的城市行列,发展成为大后方的交通经济与教育文化重镇,甚至成为与成都、重庆、昆明并驾齐驱的大后方经济文化中心。

During the Anti Japanese War,Hanzhong was a strategic place between the northwest and southwest,a strategic node and a military town between Chongqing,the capital of the country,and Chang’an,Xijing. The national government attached great importance to Hanzhong’s strategic position. With the migration of financial institutions,industrial and commercial enterprises,institutions of higher learning and government teams, scientific research institutes, service institutions, etc. in the north China and eastern region,especially the Hanzhong School of Northwest Associated University,the light of modern civilization in Qinba Mountains has been lightened. Hanzhong has started to step into the near modern city line,and developed into an important traffic,economic,cultural and educational town in the rear area,even with Chengdu and Chongqing The economic and cultural center of the rear area,which is in parallel with Kunming.
