The article has outlined the development of youth studies since the 1980s,and proposes that youth studies have experienced three stages in the perspective of discipline.Youth studies have been promoted in a disciplined,scientific,theoretical,and systematic way.The long-term development has been recognized by the academic community.The advent of the era of artificial intelligence has profoundly affected young people and will have a far-reaching impact on youth studies.It is a great opportunity for the development of youth studies.Youth studies focus on the description,interpretation,prediction and analysis of the inner laws of youth.This is the source of youth learning vitality.We are increasingly aware that the study of youth studies has gradually matured and is moving towards the path ofbuilding a youth discipline system with Chinese characteristics.
