Effect of video display terminal operation on female workers’ reproductive health

目的探讨视频显示终端(VDT)作业对女工生殖健康的影响。方法选取某大型电信企业在本院进行健康检查的586名育龄女工为研究对象,其中观察组为VDT作业女工290名,对照组为非VDT作业女工296名。对两组女工的一般情况、月经情况、孕产期健康等进行回顾性分析。结果观察组月经异常率高于对照组,两组比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。观察组的月经周期缩短、经期延长、经量增加、痛经及经前紧张综合征发生率均明显高于对照组,两组比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。经logistic回归分析,VDT工龄和孕期用药与VDT作业女工痛经的发生明显相关(P<0.05)。观察组妊娠合并贫血及自然流产发生率均高于对照组,两组比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论VDT作业会对女性职工的生殖功能造成不良影响,增加月经异常及自然流产风险,有必要执行VDT作业人群的劳动保护措施,以保障VDT作业女工的职业安全。

Objective To investigate the effect of video display terminal(VDT)on female workers’reproductive health.Methods A total of 586 female workers of childbearing age,who underwent health examination in a large telecommunications enterprise,were selected as the research objects,of them 290 female workers were assigned into the observation group and 296 female workers into the control group.The general condition,menstruation and health during pregnancy and delivery were analyzed retrospectively.Results The abnormal rate of menstruation in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the observation group,the detected rates of shortened menstrual cycle,prolonged menstrual period,increased menstrual volume,dysmenorrhea and premenstrual tension syndrome were significantly higher than that of the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between VDT duration of service and medication during pregnancy and dysmenorrhea(P<0.05).The detected rates of pregnancy anemia and spontaneous abortion in the observation group were higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions VDT operation may have adverse effects on the reproductive function of female workers,including increasing the risk of abnormal menstruation and spontaneous abortion.It is necessary to implement labor protection measures of VDT operation posts,in order to protect the occupational safety of female workers.
