This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the construction process,economic benefits,construction period requirements and safety protection in the demolition of 5000 m^3 dome roof storage tank by the method of inverted installation and the method of front installation of external scaffold,It is concluded that the inverted demolition method has more advantages in the demolition of 5000 m^3 dome roof storage tank.
