金属材料工程专业英语教学过程中的几点思考

The Discussion on the Professional English Teaching for Metal Materials Engineering Major

专业英语是高等学校工科专业教育必不可少的课程,其目的是使学生掌握专业英语词汇,提高英文文献的阅读能力,为毕业设计、科学研究和跨文化背景下沟通交流奠定牢固的基础。文章分析了目前“金属材料工程专业英语”教学过程中存在的问题,结合作者从事专业英语课程的教学实践体会,从定位教学目标、丰富教学内容、改善教学模式等方面提出了几点建议。

Professional English is an essential part of engineering professional education in colleges and universities.It aims to help student master professional English vocabulary,improve their reading ability of English literature,and lay a good foundation for graduation design,scientific research and communication under cross-cultural background.This paper analyzes the existing problems in the teaching process of"metal material engineering professional English",and gives some suggestions from the aspects of positioning the teaching objectives,enriching the teaching contents and improving the teaching mode based on the teaching experience of professional English.
