摘要
由于中西文化背景的差异,中式菜名英译一直具有较大难度,误译现象广泛存在,翻译质量有待提升。文章先就中西菜肴命名方式的异同进行阐述,然后选取在国内外广受好评的纪录片佳作《舌尖上的中国2》第三集《时节》中出现的菜品英文翻译进行分析,试图总结出中式菜名英译的基本策略。
Due to the different cultural background between Chinese and western,the translation of Chinese dish names has always been difficult.Both mistranslations and improper translations are frequently found,so the Chinese-English translation quality needs to be improved.This study analyzed the English translation of Chinese dish names in the second season of"A Bite of China"episode III and summarized some basic translation strategies of Chinese dishes.
