The article introduces the relevant discussions that traditional Chinese medicine has played an active role in prevention,treatment,rehabilitation,research and emergency system of novel coronavirus pneumonia which proposed by Professor ZHANG Boli,a member of the Central Steering Group for the Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia and the expert group of the Ministry of Science and Technology,and Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians. The epidemic prevention and control of traditional Chinese medicine is by no means a mere talk on paper. Traditional Chinese medicine has entered the main battlefield of the disease and has exerted an important role in prevention and control of novel coronavirus pneumonia.
