In recent years, the study of endoplasmic reticulum stress involved in the pathogenesis of inflamma⁃tory bowel disease in animals has caused wide attention, unfolded or misfolded proteins accumulate in the lu⁃men of the endoplasmic reticulum and cause endoplasmic reticulum stress, persistent endoplasmic reticulum stress can lead to intestinal mucosal barrier damage and induce intestinal inflammation. This paper reviewed the endoplasmic reticulum stress relieving mechanism, unfolded protein response and interaction mechanism of en⁃doplasmic reticulum stress with intestinal inflammation, aimd to propose a new therapeutic strategy for preven⁃ting and curing intestinal inflammation in animals.
