三维生态翻译下的色彩词英译——以葛浩文译《红高粱家族》为例

On english translation of colors in Red Sorghum by Howard Goldblatt from the perspective of three dimentional eco-translatology

依托生态翻译理论,评析葛浩文英译版《红高粱家族》中色彩词的翻译策略。基于原作、译作两种生态环境,以"译者为中心"的视角,采用语义和交际翻译策略,从语言、文化、交际三个维度赏析译者在翻译源语文本中色彩词时对生态的关注,使"优胜劣汰的自然选择"式思维进程得以实现。发现色彩词的恰当表述是基于适应生态环境所做出选择的结果。通过考察色彩词的英译,对生态翻译理论外延性应用,即该理论对更多翻译实践的效用做出了进一步的思考。

Based on the theory of Eco-translatology,the paper examines the rendering of colors in the English translation of Red Sorghum by Howard Goldblatt.From the perspectives of semantic,culture and communicative perspective,an analysis is made on the translation of colors guided by translator-oriented principles with a view to the process of Eco-environment transformation and finds that the translation conforms to the"adaptive selection"paradigm of Eco-translatology.Goldblatt’s translation applies semantic and communicative translation strategies to show a full respect to"survival of the fittest".Through examining the colors in target text from the three perspectives,the researcher has come to the conclusion that appropriate translation of colors results from selective adaptation of the ecological environment,and the application of the eco-translatology theory may contribute to constructive effect in further translation practices.
