Modern Library Scientist Xiang Shiyuan’s Achievements in Local Documents and Academic Research

近代图书馆学家项士元为台州乡邦文献集大成者,通过访书、征辑等,他不仅收藏了为数众多的乡贤遗著,而且也与台州当地藏书家建立了良好关系,并积极利用所藏乡邦文献借与他人作研究、著述之用。同时,项士元在地方著述书目及方志著述上也成果丰硕,著有《台州经籍志》等,影响深远。

Xiang Shiyuan,a modern library scientist,is a great collector of Taizhou's rural works.By visiting and collecting books,he not only collected a large number of rural works,but also established a good relationship with the local collectors in Taizhou.He also made full use of the collected documents in rural areas and lent them to others for research and writing.Meanwhile,Xiang Shiyuan also made fruitful achievements in the bibliography of local writings and local chronicles.He wrote Monograph on Literature of Taizhou History and so on,which had great achievements and far-reaching influence.
