The effect of different sizes of tire rubber powder and different degree of reclaimed rubber powder on performance of rubber modified emulsified asphalt were investigated. The results showed that the rubber modified emulsified asphalt could be prepared by using 100 mesh rubber powder, but the performance of emulsified asphalt was poor. When using 100 mesh reclaimed rubber powder with activation degree of about 50%to prepare emulsified asphalt, the amount of reclaimed rubber powder could be greatly increased compared with rubber powder.By adding mass fraction 1%(by asphalt, the same below)styrene-butadiene latex into the emulsified asphalt modified by 100 mesh reclaimed rubber powder with activation degree of about 50%(mass fraction 15%)and mass fraction 2%styrene-buta-diene-styrene block copolymer, the emulsified modified asphalt was prepared without sieve residue, and its storage stability for 5 d was 2.9%,penetration(25℃),softening point and ductility(5℃)of the evaporation residue were 55(0.1 mm),64.5℃and 22.5 cm respectively, which could meet the specification requirements of emulsified modified asphalt.
