Western Literature and Kafka Studies in a Cross-Cultural Context An Interview with Professor Zeng Yanbing

曾艳兵教授是中国人民大学文学院二级教授,博士生导师,天津师范大学文学院特聘教授,担任中国比较文学学会理事,中国高等教育学会外国文学委员会常务理事,中国人民大学复印报刊资料《外国文学研究》主编等职务。曾艳兵教授一直致力于外国文学经典研究,密切关注学术前沿动态,在卡夫卡研究、中西文学比较、文化研究等多领域有重要影响。本次访谈中,曾艳兵教授在中西文化、古今文化、大众文化等视野下对西方文学和卡夫卡进行深入探讨。对国外卡夫卡研究、文学史撰写等问题亦有诸多真知灼见。

Zeng Yanbing is second rank Professor of Literature in Schools of Chinese at Renmin University of China and Tianjin Normal University.He is a chief editor of Foreign Literature Studies in the series of Copied Journal Articles of Renmin University of China,a fellow of China Comparative Literature Association,and a standing member of the Specialized Committee for Foreign Literature of Chinese Higher Education Association.As an observer of the frontiers of western literary studies,he has been influential in areas such as Kafka studies,Sino-Western comparative literature,and cultural studies.In this interview,he discusses at great length Western literature and Kafka from the perspectives of China-Western culture,ancient-contemporary culture,and mass culture.He also gives us fascinating insights into international Kafka studies,and the way to write literary histories,etc.
