摘要
伯顿·克拉克的学术职业理论深入探讨了学术职业分化与整合、学术职业逻辑、教学科研关系、学术文化等重要问题,从国家、院校和学科三个层级分析学术职业内外多种力量的互动,强调文化在学术职业身份形成与发展中的作用。克拉克的学术职业理论不但为后来研究奠定了坚实的基础,而且为审视学术职业提供了独特的视角和强有力的理论支撑,产生了广泛而深远的影响。
Burton R. Clark’s academic profession theory comprehensively investigates critical issues of this profession, namely the differentiation and integration of academic profession, the logic of academic profession, teaching-research nexus, and academic culture etc. Integrating the three levels of nation, institution, and discipline, the theory analyses interactions between internal and external forces of academic profession, and highlights the role of culture in the formation and development of academic professional identity. Clark’s academic profession theory has had a wide, far-reaching impact. It not only lays a solid foundation for subsequent studies but also provides essential perspective and powerful theoretical support to observe and analyze the academic profession.
