On August 9,2019,a large-scale blackout occurred in Britain.The blackout caused blackouts in most parts of England and Wales,affecting about 1 million people.This paper introduces the main process of blackout accident,and summarizes and analyses the causes of the accident.Combined with Beijing power grid,drawing lessons from blackouts in other countries and taking them as a warning,suggestions are put forward to ensure safe and stable operation of power grid and prevent blackouts.
