Objective To observe the effects of iron succinate on serum ferritin(SF),hemoglobin(Hb)and serum iron(SI)levels in children with iron deficiency anemia. Methods 96 children with IDA who were treated by the Health and Medical Service Center of Shuangtaizi District,Panjin City from March 2017 to March 2018 were randomly divided into two groups, with 48 cases in each group. The control group received ferrous sulfate treatment and the observation group received iron protein succinate treatment. The clinical efficacy, iron metabolism index(SF,SI),Hb level and adverse reactions were observed. Results The total effective rate of the observation group(95.83%)was higher than that of the control group(83.33%).The incidence of adverse reactions(2.08%)was lower than that of the control group(16.67%).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant differences in the levels of SF,SI and Hb between the two groups. After treatment, the SF(39.97±8.06)μg/L,SI(17.30±3.16)μmol/L and Hb(128.69±6.81)g/L were observed higher than the control group(31.25±5.78)μg/L,(13.49±2.82)μmol/L,(109.52±7.57)g/L,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of children with IDA with iron succinate helps to improve the levels of SF,SI and Hb,eliminate the symptoms of anemia in children, and improve the effect of IDA treatment, and has fewer adverse reactions.
