加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学学科建设审思——以语言学学科为例

摘要 文章结合对加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学语言学学科建设的考察,从学科视角对语言学学科建设进行了审思。通过对加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学语言学学科的研究方向、学科特色、服务社会及人才培养四个方面的考察和分析,发现加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学语言学学科设置合理,特色研究有成效;理论语言学研究与本土语言研究紧密结合,社会服务功能明显;注重学生研究兴趣激发,监督人才培养全过程。这些做法对我国语言学学科建设有一定的借鉴意义。 This paper discusses the construction of the descilpline Linguistics based on the investigation of the University of British Columbia. The investigation and analysis are made from four aspects:research direction,the specialty of the discipline,serving the society and the talent training. It is held that the discipline Linguistics in the University of British Columbia embodies the following features: the structure is reasonable and the key research subject is influential;the linguistic theory research is integrated with the local language research which fulfills the function of serving the society very well;special efforts are taken to stimulate the students’ interest in research and the whole process of talents cultivation is supervised. Therefore,it is argued that there is an instructive significance in the experience of the Linguistics discipline construction in the University of British Columbia.
