顺从还是抵抗?中国气候科学家对“科学媒体化”的感知和反思

Obedience or Resistance? Chinese Climate Scientists’ Perception and Reflection on Medialization of Science

当前,随着气候科学议题成为全球范围内的公共议题,中国在气候治理的国际舞台上发挥日趋重要的作用。考察中国语境下气候科学议题的变迁,有助于更好地理解科学与媒介关系的嬗变。本研究通过对中国气候科学家进行半结构访谈发现:科学家与媒体的互动并未形成常态机制,科学家整体上仍然是被动的传播者;科学家借助新媒体平台得以创新叙事风格,运用“策略性传播”手段提升科学传播效果;科研机构的支持和审查对科学家的媒体接触发挥中介作用。整体观之,中国气候科学家的“媒体化”是一种有限度的、有抵抗的媒体化,并显露出政治导向的新趋势。

As climate science issue becomes globally concerned,China plays an increasingly important role in international arena of climate governance.Thus,it will help us to better understand the evolution of the relationship between science and media if we investigate the change of climate science issue in Chinese context.Semi-structured interviews with Chinese climate scientists demonstrate that the interaction between scientists and the media has not formed a routinized mechanism,scientists still stay in a passive position.However,with the help of new media platforms,scientists make innovations in narrative style as well as adopt“strategic communication”approaches to enhance the effect of science communication.Besides,support and check from scientific research institutions play intermediary role in scientists media exposure.Generally speaking,medialization of Chinese climate scientists is a limited process with resistance,and reveals a new tendency of political orientation.
