论英汉机器翻译的改进之道——基于《金融时报》人机翻译的比较研究

Way to Better English-Chinese Machine Translation Based on Contrastive Study of Machine and Human Translation of The Financial Times

得益于信息技术的迅猛发展,机器翻译的准确度和可读性都有显著提高,尤其对句法结构的处理。但原文语义的逻辑推理和译文语义的连贯完整仍是机器翻译的短板。所以,译后编辑的重点应该是核查词语与词语之间,各个句子成分之间的语义和逻辑关系,以确保译文整体的逻辑性和连贯性。

Owing to the rapid development of information technology,the accuracy and readability of machine translation are strikingly improved,especially in terms of syntactic structure.But logical inference in the comprehension of the original meaning and coherent unity of the meaning in the translated version are still shortcomings of machine translation.Therefore,in post-editing,stress should be laid on the examination of the semantic and logical relations between words and parts of the sentence to ensure logicality and cohesion of the translation as a whole.
