古代福建冶金瑰宝——大铁佛内部异常构造与《丈六金身碑》

The Ancient Fujian Metallurgical Treasures——Big Iron Buddha and “Monumental Inscription for Zhang Liu Golden Body”

福州开元寺的"阿弥陀佛"是福建省最大的铁佛。最近,本团队观察到大铁佛的腹腔中存在异常构造,是一个与上下不连的铸铁方柱,研究表明,这应是黄滔(唐)在《丈六金身碑》中提及的"断臂"。将观测结果与《丈六金身碑》的文字详细比对可以确定,《丈六金身碑》中所描述的丈六金身就是这尊大铁佛。这是罕见的古代文物与文字共存的情况。大铁佛无疑是福建省早期冶金技术极为重大的成就之一,值得深入研究。

The Amitabha in Fuzhou Kaiyuan Temple is one of the biggest iron Buddha in Fujian Province. Recently, was observed in abdominal cavity of the Amitabha by our team. It is a cast iron square column which connects to neither bottom nor ceiling. The investigates show that it might be the "broken arm" described in "Monumental inscription for Zhang Liu golden body" written by Huang Tao(Tang Dynasty). After a comparison of the real observations with the text contents in detail, the authors confirmed that the golden body one described in "Monumental inscription for Zhang Liu golden body" was the big iron Buddha. This is a rare situation where ancient artifacts coexist with writing. It is one of the most important achievements of the early metallurgical technology in Fujian Province, which is worth further studying.
