Comment on the research progress on the cell source for cartilage of tissue engineering

摘要 种子细胞来源问题一直是限制软骨组织工程进一步发展的重要瓶颈。尽管各类软骨细胞、成体干细胞、多能干细胞等在软骨再生领域均获得了较大进展,但要实现临床应用转化仍面临诸多挑战。该文重点综述了不同来源种子的特性、其在软骨组织工程中的研究进展、临床转化面临的难题及未来的研究方向,这为组织工程技术的发展提供了重要参考。 Lack of appropriate cell source has always been an obstacle for clinical translation of tissue engineered cartilage.Currently,kinds of seeding cells,such as chondrocytes,adult stem cells and pluripotent stem cells have been widely used in cartilage of tissue engineering,and have made great progress in regenerative medicine.However,tissue engineered cartilage based on the above cell sources has not made significant breakthrough in clinical translation.The current paper reviewed the cell characteristics of different cell sources,their progress on tissue engineered cartilage,the challenge of clinical translation,and put forward new directions for future investigation,which provided detailed insights for clinical applications of tissue engineering techniques.
