The compilation instructions for standards preparation are indispensable in the process of standard setting. The standardized compilation instructions can guarantee the good quality for the whole standard. This paper introduced the main contents of compilation instructions, summarized the principal questions in the compilation instructions of aquaculture standards, analyzed the reasons of the existed questions and proposed some available solutions.
