在人类文明史上,东亚地区是重要的文明区域,不仅有丰富多样的外交实践,也有极为宝贵的外交思想,形成对外交往的外交圈与文明圈。将历史上对外交流的正反两方面的经验做出系统的总结,是今天国家崛起对理论的需求,也反映理论研究服务于国家与社会重大需求的一面;坚持理论研究以社会发展作为深层次原动力的大方向,借鉴历史上成功的经验,采取继承和发展的态度,以古为今用的态度从容处之,是我们今天应该采取的正确态度。在东亚国家关系面对新的形势的时候,汲取历史上有益的经验,是十分必要的。

With its rich diplomatic practice and most precious diplomatic philosophy,East Asia formed its unique regional diplomacy and culture in the history of human civilization.It is a theoretical request from the emergence of China to summarize systematically the lessons and experiences from the foreign exchange history.Meanwhile,we shall adhere to the principle that academic study serves important national and social needs,where theoretical study draws its original motivation.We should take an attitude of learning humbly from the ancient times and better inheriting from historical practice.It is of great necessity to learn from the beneficial historic experiences when East Asian countries are facing the new situation.
