民族工作是中国共产党执政的一项重要工作,是共产党统一战线的重要组成部分。西北地区民族众多,在革命战争年代和中华人民共和国社会主义建设时期,处理好西北民族关系对革命胜利和社会主义建设的顺利进行具有至关重要的作用。习仲勋在西北工作期间,认真贯彻党中央的民族政策,在正确处理民族问题的过程中,可以窥见他民族工作的方法、理论与实践,这为我们当今处理好民族关系提供有益借鉴。

As a key task for the ruling of the Communist Party of China,ethnic work is an important component of the CPC’s united front.There are many nationalities in Northwest China.In the times of revolutionary war and socialist construction of the People’s Republic of China,the proper handling of the ethnic relationship has played a crucial role in the revolutionary victory and smooth implementation of socialist construction.While working in Northwest China,Xi Zhongxun has conscientiously implemented the ethnic policies of the Central Committee of CPC.In his correct handling of ethnic issues,we can get a glimpse into his working methods,theories and practice,and all these have offered beneficial experience for us to handle properly the current ethnic relationship.
