陆上丝绸之路Tips"梅尔夫"位于土库曼斯坦第三大城市马雷东郊30KM的地方,是土库曼斯坦乃至中亚最重要的历史遗迹。梅尔夫地处撒马尔罕和巴格达之间,是古代丝绸之路上的交通要道和绿洲古城。在其鼎盛时期,梅尔夫曾被称为"Marvi-shahjahan",即"梅尔夫——世界的女王",与大马士革、巴格达和开罗齐名,一道被称为伊斯兰教的中心。作为一个重要的宗教研究中心和丝绸之路上的重镇,当年它对中亚经济和社会发展的有着十分重要的意义。

Merv is located in the eastern suburbs of Mary, Turkmenistan’s third largest city, and is the most important historical site in Turkmenistan and even Central Asia. Merv, located between Samarkand and Baghdad, was the main traffic route and an ancient oasis city on the ancient Silk Road. In its heyday, Merv was once known as "Marv-ishahjahan", or "Merv-Queen of the World", enjoying equal popularity with Damascus, Baghdad, and Cairo as the centers of Islam.
