新中国成立以后,在我党文艺方针和教育政策的指引下,新中国美术教育走出了一条自主发展的新路。进入改革开放的新时期,中国开拓出了美术教育更新、更加广阔的天地,同时使走向现代、走向世界的美术教育也取得了巨大成就。其中美术教育面向大众,在社会更加广阔的范围开展;美术院校积极进行教学改革,坚持民族艺术的方向,坚持现实主义艺术的道路,探索、研究、吸收外来艺术包括西方现代主义艺术的养分,以滋润中国美术教育的本体。进入新世纪,中国美术教育培养出众多优秀人才,承前启后,为中国美术的未来发展努力奋斗,不断前行。

After the founding of new China,under the guidance of literature and art guidelines and education policy of Communist Party of China,new China's fine arts education has inaugurated a new path towards independent development.In the new era of reform and opening up,a new and broader space for art education has been open up and great achievements in art education facing up to modernity and the globalization.Among them,the public oriented art education is carried out in a wider range of society,and as the educational reformation not only insisting on the direction of national art but also on the path of realistic art proceeds,the Chinese fine arts education per se has been nourished by exploring,studying and absorbing foreign arts including the western modernism.In the new century,Chinese fine arts education has cultivated many excellent talents,and through connecting the past with the future,strives for the future development of Chinese art and keeps moving forward.
