都市区、都市圈与城市群的概念界定及其比较分析

学术界对都市区、都市圈和城市群三个概念尚没有形成统一的认识。都市区、都市圈与城市群是既有联系又有区别的三个概念。它们都以大都市为核心,分别对应区域都市化进程的三个阶段,均属于国家或地区经济较为发达的区域。都市区主要描述的是大都市就业人口的上下班通勤地域,都市圈主要描述的是大都市的经济辐射地域,而城市群主要描述的是都市圈与其他都市圈或城市圈空间耦合构成的更广阔地域。都市区是都市圈的核心区域,而都市圈是城市群形成的前提条件。三者之间在空间范围、人口规模、空间结构、经济社会特征等方面存在明显的差异。

The academic circle has not yet formed a unified understandings of metropolitan area,metropolitan circle,and urban agglomeration.Metropolitan area,metropolitan circle and urban agglomeration are three concepts that have both links and differences.They are all centered on metropolises,which correspond to three stages of the process of regional urbanization and all belong to more developed regions of countries or regions.Metropolitan area mainly describes commuting areas of the employed population in a metropolis;Metropolitan circle mainly describes economic radiation areas of one or two metropolises;and urban agglomeration mainly describes a wider region formed by spatial coupling of one metropolitan circle and other metropolitan circles or city circles.A metropolitan area is the core area of the metropolitan circle including it,and metropolitan circles are the precondition for the formation of urban agglomerations.There are obvious differences among the three concepts in terms of spatial scope,population scale,spatial structure characteristics,and economic and social characteristics.
